Itineraries
Day 1
Arrival Ha Noi (D)
Arrive at Noi Bai Airport, pick up and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, the tour starts with the orientation walk in Ha Noi Old Quarter. Our guide will introduce to you some of the authentic local food like Banh Cuon (steam rice pancake rolled with minced pork and mushroom), “Bun cha” (Rice Noodle with grilled pork – another Ha Noi famous street food), Pho (Rice Noodle soup with beef or chicken), enjoy some coffee in local coffee shop followed by the dinner at Cha Ca La Vong (the most famous and authentic local food in Ha Noi serving rice noodle with grilled fish on the charcoal kitchen).

Day 2
Ha Noi Cooking Class and Ha Noi City Tour (B/L/D)
Buffet breakfast at Hotel
This morning is reserved for the Ha Noi food tasting tour. First, we experience a bowl of “Pho Bo” (noodle with beef) at Pho Bat Dan or Pho Bo Hang Dong (subject to the availability of the restaurant) – famous typical Northern Vietnam Pho. In that pho local traditional restaurant, people should wait in line and pay and get their bowl of Pho. After that Pho breakfast, we can visit nearby Lo Banh Pho Ba Ngoan (noodle factory – Mrs. Ngoan) to see the process of noodle making (no additives). Mrs. Ngoan had made noodles since 1954 at the same address and now her daughter-in-law inherits the factory. This noodle factory provides noodles to all of the famous Pho places around Ha Noi. The Pho place and the visit to the factory are really special. All the chefs going with us loved it.
After that, our Ha Noi culinary tour allows you to take a cooking class at KOTO Restaurant:
Class 1: Traditional Cooking
Schedule: 8.30 am to 1 pm
9:30 – 10:00 am: Meeting with Chef at KOTO restaurant and market visit
10:15 – 1:00 pm: Demonstration and tasting with 3 dishes
Tasting menu:
• Green Papaya salad with beef
• Fresh spring roll with pork & prawn
• BBQ pork two ways with fresh noodles
Afternoon, visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex and Temple of Literature – the central culture of Ha Noi. In the evening, enjoy the great experience of the Water Puppet show – the unique art of Vietnamese people from the Red River Delta. Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3
Ha Noi – Ha Long Bay (B/L/D)
Buffet breakfast at Hotel
Morning departs to Ha Long bay through the Red River Delta. Upon arrival to Ha Long, embark on the Junk. Receive cruise briefing and check in to cabins and begin cruise. Passage into the picturesque “Dragon descending to the sea” Bay has 1,969 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. Enjoy lunch with a deluxe Vietnamese and International Set Menu. Cruise to Titop Island where you can take a short trek to a nearby summit for a panoramic view of the bay dotted with our Junk, go swimming on a quiet beach, or sunbathe on the sundeck. Transfer back to the boat and sail for approximately 45 minutes to the second destination – the Bat Cave area. Upon arrival, you can either take a 40-minute kayaking program to the nearby Bat Cave and lagoon and surrounding waters (Kayaking is available unless already booked as part of your package) or visit the largest floating fishing village in Ha Long Bay with the opportunity to interact with fish men who have been living in the bay for almost three generations. We will travel to the village on the tender and tour the village for approximately 20 minutes.
Back on board, enjoy cocktails while watching the sunset before dinner. In the evening, you can watch the famous Indochina Movie in the dining room or join squid fishing from the boat with the crew. Depending on weather conditions, we can travel by tender and you will be able to board the squid boat and see how the local fishermen catch squid and other fish.
Overnight on the cruise.
Day 4
Ha Long Bay – Tho Ha Village – Ha Noi (B/L/D)
Greet the day with a morning Tai Chi exercise with an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay Coffee, tea, and breakfast pastries are served in the dining room. Cruise to Surprise Cave area then transfers to the Cave by tender. This is one of the two most beautiful Caves in Ha Long Bay with a great collection of stalagmites and stalactites in the beautiful space. It is a wonder of nature. Back to the boat for a final glimpse of the Ha Long Bay while cruising back to the dock with Set Menu or Buffet Brunch served in the dining room. Along the drive back to Ha Noi, visit Tho Ha, a traditional village of terracotta products dating before the 20th century. Explore the village’s narrow and zigzagged alleys, and old houses constructed from broken pieces of old terracotta. We will have tea with a local family in Mr. Viet’s house, enjoy a live folk music performance and learn the ancient art of rice paper making from Mdm. Viet. Visit a 500-year-old pagoda with Mr. Viet as we stroll past friendly villagers, a cemetery, and a view of the village over a beautiful lake. Drive back to Ha Noi. Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 5
Flight out from Ha Noi (B/-/-)
Buffet breakfast at Hotel
Morning is free at leisure until transfer to Noi Bai Airport for departure flight. End of tour.
